Understand the football facts in Shotle
Learn why a club, value or ranking may differ from what you remember.
A football fact needs a little context. Is it a current club or a former club? League goals or all goals? Checking that small detail often explains why two answers look different.
A profile is not live news
Shotle uses recorded player details. A recent transfer may not appear yet, and an age or value may come from an earlier update. The puzzle date tells you which challenge you selected; it does not mean every fact was updated that day.
An older record can explain a difference, but it can still need correcting. Check which detail disagrees with your source and when that source was published.

Check what a club link means
Two players can share a former club without ever being teammates. Football Chain and Football Trail use that shared-club link. They do not require the players to have been there together.
Other games use different rules. Career Path can include reserve teams, but not junior academy teams. Bingo teammate clues use overlapping career years as an approximation. Read the rule for the game you are playing.
Compare the same thing
Market value is an estimate. It is not a transfer fee, salary or score of how good a player is. For value clues, use the number recorded in the game.
For Top 10, check the competition and period in Ranking details. “League goals” and “all club goals” can give different lists. A tied total can also allow more than one answer in the same position.
Check names before reporting a problem
A familiar name may still fail a word game’s rules. Player Guess needs a surname of the shown length. Club Guess uses complete words or combinations of complete words, not every nickname or abbreviation.
If something still looks wrong, send the game, selected date and exact clue. Add a link supporting the correction if you have one. A clear example makes the issue easier to check.
